Independent
Regulation of Care

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. It monitors, inspects and regulates services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety, and publishes findings to help people make informed choices about the care they receive.

All NHS GP practices are required to register with and be inspected by the CQC. Inspections are unannounced and comprehensive, examining clinical practice, patient records, staff training, safety systems, and the views of patients themselves.

The CQC's four rating levels are: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, and Inadequate. A rating of Good means the service is performing well and meeting all expectations — which is exactly what Saluja Clinic has achieved.

Registered Manager: Dr Angad Singh Saluja is the CQC Registered Manager for Saluja Clinic, with responsibility for ensuring all regulated activities meet the required standards at all times.

What CQC Inspectors Examine
Patient safety systems Medicines management, safeguarding, infection control and clinical incident reporting.
Clinical effectiveness Treatment outcomes, adherence to NICE guidelines, and health promotion activities.
Patient experience Interviews with patients, review of complaints data, and Friends and Family Test results.
Access and responsiveness Appointment availability, out-of-hours provision, and accessibility for all patient groups.
Leadership and governance Vision, culture, staff development, and the robustness of practice governance processes.

Our CQC Journey
